This week I've got another snippet from my work-in-progress, Kola, the first in The Essien Trilogy spinoff.
The boyish face had matured into
dark, sculpted planes and cheekbones. A five-o-clock shadow darkened his chin.
His eyes—oh, those chocolate truffle eyes that seemed to see all of her, making
her heart rate kick up a notch—and full, firm lips designed to cause havoc on a
woman’s body, had her conjuring all kinds of very inappropriate images of the
two of them.
Her quiet, dependable protector
had turned into a sexy, solid hunk of a giant. Now she seemed unable to process any other
thoughts except the effect he wielded over her body; Brazen desire.
“Are you ready to go?” his voice had
a rich, rumbling baritone, and the deep sound turned her insides into mush.
